June 30th:
In
the middle of planning a number of projects – a couple of Martyn Bennett
performances for the Fringe Festival, a couple of collaborations in the autumn
(Martin Kershaw’s “Hero as a Riddle” and James Ross’s “Chasing the Sun”), a
performance with Thomas Stronen in Edinburgh in November (possibly as part of a
Bicycle Enhanced Awareness day), performances with Michael Marra next March. I’m
also trying to set up two recording projects – one of Martyn Bennett’s music
(we’re still looking for a label to take this on) and one of Gavin Bryar’s
music (we’ve got a label but there are still some question marks about which
pieces to include).
In
the meanwhile work with the Scottish Chamber Orchestra has been very demanding
of late – the orchestra has become much busier recently.
