Upstart Jugglers
Upstart Jugglers

"Upstart Jugglers" is more of the sort of eclectic mix which characterises our first CD "Like The Milk". It contains two pieces commissioned by us from Scottish composers - James MacMillan's "Cumnock Fair" and Edward McGuire's "Nocturnes". It also contains two King Crimson numbers,"The Sheltering Sky" and "Matte Kudasai", a Richard Thompson song, "The Great Valerio", a Lowell George song, "Twenty Million Things", a Raymond Scott number, "Square Dance For Eight Egyptian Mummies", and a version of "La Vie En Rose", which features Su-a Lee on musical saw. Price: £12 inc.p+p.

Mercedes Benz - Janis Joplin

As a postscript, it should be explained that the main part of the final track, Janis Joplin's Mercedes Benz, had to be removed from the album, on the insistence of the Janis Joplin family estate, which objected that we had added instrumental accompaniment to what should, in its eyes, remain faithful to its original unaccompanied format. Only the fragment of our version which happened to be unaccompanied in any case has been kept as a curiosity.
